Covered car transportation
Car owners wishing to transport their vehicle safely over long distances will usually choose to move it by trailer rather than driving it. Adding mileage to any prestige car, and especially a valuable classic, will result in the car losing value. Older cars, especially classics, may not be suited to being driven long distances at motorway speed.

Uncovered car transportation

Uncovered trailers do leave the car subject to road debris and the vagaries of the Scottish climate. Older open-top vehicles and race cars, many of which don’t have roofs at all, may be unsuitable for transport by uncovered trailers unless they are securely wrapped and completely weather-tight. These concerns are relevant, but for many the advantages of an uncovered delivery outweigh the disadvantages.
Uncovered trailers can accommodate a wider variety of vehicle sizes and types compared to covered trailers. Loading and unloading are easier too as there is more clear room around the vehicle.
